CADEO

This site has been acquired in 1984 to house offices and a maturing warehouse.
Located on the route of the famous Via Francigena in the province of Piacenza, they were it was expanded in 1990 with the construction of the Grana Padano dairy and in 1994 with the construction of the packaging department, giving a total area of 14,000 square metres.
The facilities are divided into:

Registered Head Office
Colla’s largest Grana Padano PDO cheese factory where the PC524 and PC527 cheese numbers are produced.
A maturing warehouse for Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano cheeses, having a storage capacity of about 60,000 wheels.
A packaging department for Grana Padano and other hard cheeses, where products are packaged using the most advanced technologies.

BARABASCA

Purchased by the Colla family in 1979, with its expansion, completed in 2007, it now covers a total area of 22,000 square metres.
This is Colla’s largest maturing facility for Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano boasting a capacity of 520,000 wheels.
It is the leading facility in Europe in terms of storage capacity and its imposing size has earned it the nickname of the 'Cathedral of Cheese'! It is also notable for the brightness of its interior, made possible by a skylight that illuminates the central aisle of the warehouse with completely natural light.

FIDENZA

This newly built site is the company's largest and fully embraces the philosophy of sustainability with 50% of its energy self-produced from its own solar panels.
It covers an area of 35,000 square metres and is divided into:

A maturing warehouse for Parmigiano Reggiano with a capacity of 350,000 wheels and built applying the same concept of natural lighting as the one in Barabasca. In addition it employs the finest technology of a semi-automated warehouse. It is the largest maturing facility for Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
A packaging department for Parmigiano Reggiano and Pecorino Romano cheeses where products are packaged using the most advanced technology.

CELLA

It is in this cheese factory that Colla produces Parmigiano Reggiano PDO. It was opened in 2001 and is located on the Via Emilia. The production registration number is 700.

TARTAGLIA

The historic and traditional cheese factory where Colla produces Grana Padano PDO. This is where cheese number PC523 is produced.

ROTTOFRENO

Colla's fourth maturing warehouse with a capacity of 65,000 wheels.
