IFS Food certification is an internationally recognized standard for the safety and quality of food products. 
It certifies that the company operates according to rigorous quality control and management systems, ensuring safe, transparent and fully traceable production processes throughout the entire supply chain.
The BRCGS Food Safety standard, globally recognized and approved by GFSI, certifies compliance with high requirements for food safety, hygiene and control of production processes.
This certification confirms the company’s commitment to guaranteeing reliable products that comply with the standards required by the main international markets.
The European Union organic certification guarantees that products are obtained using sustainable production methods, respecting the environment, biodiversity and natural cycles.
It also ensures the absence of synthetic chemical pesticides and fertilizers and rigorous controls throughout the entire production chain.

ENVIRONMENT

A responsible approach that promotes the conscious use of natural resources and contributes to environmental protection throughout the entire production process.

ENERGY 
AND CLIMATE

• Activation in 2024 of a new photovoltaic system at the Cadeo plant.

• Self-production of energy from renewable sources, covering up to 15% of energy needs at some sites.

• Procurement of electricity from renewable sources certified through Guarantees of Origin.

• Monitoring and reporting of emissions according to the UNI EN ISO 14064-1:2019 standard (years 2021–2022).

ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING

• Updating the emissions calculation methodology to improve the accuracy and reliability of environmental data.

• Launch of environmental monitoring of supplying farms, with collection and analysis of the main indicators:

The Sustainability Report is the tool through which the company transparently communicates its environmental, social and economic performance.
The document gathers data, objectives and results related to key topics such as environmental impact, resource management, responsibility toward suppliers, people and the local area, making it possible to monitor progress over time and the commitment to increasingly sustainable development.

Through initiatives dedicated to well-being, professional development and the quality of the working environment, the company promotes an organizational culture based on responsibility, collaboration and mutual respect.

GENDER EQUALITY POLICY

The Gender Equality Steering Committee was created as a point of reference to support the company on its path toward gender equality certification. It is a group that observes the organization from within, listens to people and works to make the workplace increasingly fair and welcoming.
The Committee works proactively to foster conditions of equity and inclusion within the company, collaborating with all internal departments involved and complying with the principles established by the UNI/PdR 125:2022 standard.

The main functions of the Steering Committee are:

Supporting initiatives dedicated to promoting equal gender opportunities;
Monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of internal gender equality policies;
Providing support to personnel by directing them to the services and tools made available by the company for managing any critical issues;
Collaborating with the various company units engaged in promoting gender equality in defining and implementing strategic actions.

ANIMAL WELFARE

Monitoring of animal welfare in supplying farms through the ClassyFarm assessment system.
In 2024, 87% of the farms were assessed according to the parameters set by the system.
Objective: to reach 100% of monitored farms by 2025, strengthening control and continuous improvement of farming conditions.
